My wife and I stayed for three weeks in your apartment in Paris. We can't say enough about the apartment. One is always apprehensive about staying in an apartment in another country that they have not seen, but it was charming and lovely. It was also quite comfortable. Of importance to us, the bed was comfortable and the apartment was quiet, even though it was on street level and faced onto a residential street. It was a great location since it was only 2 short blocks to the metro stop and only one block from a main shopping street, Rue de Passy, which stretched for about 6 blocks lined on both sides with shops, pharmacies, and markets, even a cinema. We were a 10 minute walk from the Eiffel Tower and found that there were numerous sites to see within walking distance which worked out great during the metro strike. You were also extremely helpful in terms of providing assistance on getting to and from the airport and navigating Paris. Being able to call back to the States from the phone in the apartment was also a plus. We would definitely stay in your apartment again on our next trip to Paris and will be recommending it to our friends. Aside from the apartment, we found the people in Paris to be quite friendly and helpful. We loved the metro system and found it quite easy to navigate Paris using the trains and buses. If you ever get to St. Louis, please contact us, as we would love to meet you and your husband.
Best Wishes and have a Happy Holiday Season,
Steve and Deana

Words cannot describe my stay at this quaint apartment, I could not have asked for anything more wonderful. The place held everything I needed and more. The joy of getting up every morning and walking to the coffee houses, smelling the baguettes rising and the pain au chocolat scrumptiously calling your name was an experience I will not soon forget and awaken everyday with the need to relive. The apartment was in the perfect location for truly experiencing life as a Parisian. I walked down the road to witness the fireworks of Bastille Day rising up over Trocadero. The area is serene and comforting and I felt completely at ease being a young woman walking around at night. I made friends with the market people and had no trouble with the language even though my French is not up to par. The people were kind and helpful. The apartment was a home base where whatever I was doing I knew that a warm bed and a cup of tea could be mine with a turn of the key. I loved this apartment. It is a truly special place for me and always will be. IT is where I found my Parisian self and part of my true self as well. If you are looking for a place that soothes your busy mind, a place where sitting in the living room trying to figure out what sites to see is the most stressful part of your day, then you have found it. This place offers everything. Within walking distance of the Effel Tower and almost everything else, you can't go wrong. I walked to Notre Dame, St. Germaine the Louvre and many more equally exciting places right from the apartment. This is a haven! I will be back extremely soon!

Bonjour a votre famille.

I don't even know where to start. It was scary for us to think about trusting an advertisement on Craig's List for an apartment half-way around the world, but once we started corresponding with you, we knew we were dealing with a very professional person who was willing to give us answers to any questions we asked. Your packet of information about sights and restaurants in Paris was invaluable to us.
The driver you arranged for us met us at the airport and drove us to the apartment where we were met by your apartment manager. Although she spoke no English and we speak no French, she was lovely and made every effort to show us what we needed to know about the apartment.
The neighborhood where the apartment is located is absolutely fantastic! Its location to the Metro makes it close to anything in Paris. We felt absolutely safe walking around at midnight. There is an incredible amount of energy here, and the Rue de Passy has wonderful cafes and boutiques.
Upon arriving at the apartment, as we walked through the huge wooden front doors into the marble foyer, we had the feeling we were entering an aristocratic apartment building. Since the apartment is on the ground floor, there are no stairs or elevators to negotiate. The apartment itself is lovely. The tall ceilings, wood floors and charming decor create a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The lovely windows on the front of the building allow plenty of light in the apartment. We found the free Internet, free telephone to the U.S. and washer and dryer to be amenities we had nowhere else on our trip. The kitchen is stocked with so many conveniences to make anyone's stay very comfortable.
Having the washer/dryer was such a treat for us. It was the only time we were able to wash our clothes at our leisure during our entire trip. We paid 24 euros in Monterosso, Italy to have two loads done for us - it saved me having to wait in the laundromat for several hours, so it was definitely worth it.
We have already recommended the apartment to fellow travelers who plan to visit Paris in the future. My son would like to know if you would like for him to write to Rick Steves - Europe Through the Back Door to tell him about it. It seemed to us that every American or Canadian we met in Europe was carrying his books. If you are not aware of him, he has a program on Public Television, and is an incredible source of information about anything in Europe.
The only suggestion we have about the apartment is that with it being on the ground floor, people tend to peer into the windows. It seems that the frosted glass in the lower set of windows should avoid this, but taller people can still see into the apartment. Perhaps another twelve inches or so of frosting on the glass would solve this issue, while still allowing enough light to enter the apartment.
We would like to thank you again for all your assistance and your kindness from our first communication nearly a year ago, throughout our stay in the apartment, to now. Our stay in your apartment was one of the highlights of our trip to Europe!
Our best wishes
Sincerely,
George, Brenda and Steven C

My wife and I spent our tenth anniversary here and loved it. It was exactly what we were looking for. The apartment is both lovely and cozy and a pleasure to come home to after a long day of museum going.
We made great use of the well-apportioned kitchen; being able to buy and prepare our own food
was much better than staying in a hotel.
Don't miss the great public bicycles. There is a station at the corner and they are the best deal in Paris! With the bike, you can see how all the neighborhoods connect. Also, we found the buses were a great way to get around, and there are many good bus routes within walking distance of the flat.
In the neighborhood, don't miss the charming Passy Market and the off-the-beaten-track Marmottan museum.
Finally, it was great to have the peace-of-mind of dealing with the owner, who was both very professional and welcoming.

The Paris For Vacation flat is absolutely ideal for visitors to Paris. It is in a very good neighborhood and the building feels absolutely secure. The flat itself is charmingly decorated in the French style and unusually well-equipped. The kitchen is small but efficient; the conveniences of wireless internet access and especially a free internet and free phone calls to the States are truly meaningful. Even more impressive is the flat's location, in a typical French neighborhood with vegetable grocers, bakeries, wine shops, and other essential shops, a Metro station just a few more steps away, and the Eiffel Tower a lovely walk across the Seine where boat transportation and tourist buses await the tourist.
Also important is the ease of communication with the owner. All arrangements were straightforward, but beyond that, she is a font of useful information and guidance. She will send packets of details about restaurants, doctors, transportation, and sites. Also leading up to and during your stay she is available and always helpful.
Overall, in a very expensive city, this flat provides an opportunity to stay inexpensively, maneuver around the city with ease, and return to your own sanctuary at the end of the day. This was an outstanding experience for myself and my family.

I greatly, greatly appreciate your holding the flat for us; your generosity and warm collegiality have been a delight to me. You have gone far beyond the "call of duty", so to speak; your kindness and graciousness will be long remembered. I sincerely hope that our paths cross some day in the near future. If we return to Paris, I will look for your place as a temporary home.
All my best wishes to you and your family.

I'd like to take the opportunity to tell you that we had a wonderful, wonderful time in Paris. The flat was everything we expected and more. The manager is a gem. We were very comfortable and felt like locals. I can't express to you how happy we were in Paris. We cannot wait to be back.
Best of luck with your business. You do a terrific job with Paris for Vacation - very hospitable and well organized. We feel so lucky we found you. We're spreading the word.

We had SUCH a lovely time in your beautiful apartment. It made our trip extra special and we will be sure to return to your apartment the
next time we visit. We absolutely loved it... my husband and I began to think just before leaving Paris that we would return just to... stay in your
apartment. It made for such a relaxing vacation. And I managed to do a *little* shopping in the neighborhood!

Hello!
It was a wonderful week in Paris. A big part of it was your wonderful apartment.
The weather was also very nice all the time. It was our 4th visit to Paris and we visit all the best part of the city again. The 16th quartier was surprising and good to be there.
Nice to know that you are ready to rent us the flat again when we are in Paris next time.
We will also tell our friends about your apartment and give it our best recommendation.
Best regards

We want to thank you for allowing us to stay in your beautiful Paris "flat". Our stay there could not have been more perfect. The accommodations were better than imagined. It was so nice to have a kitchen for preparing our little breakfasts before we set out for the day. The washer and dryer came in very handy. We loved the cozy living room that looked out at the wonderful neighborhood. Everything was very clean and well-stocked. The location of your apartment is absolutely wonderful. The metro is so close and there are many good restaurants within minutes of walking. We found a favorite boulangerie for purchasing our daily baguettes. We could walk just down the street and have a marvelous view of the Eiffel Tower. This area was truly charming and I highly recommend it for people wanting to stay in a
very Parisian neighborhood.
Thank you again. We are looking forward to returning soon.

I have been wanting to contact you and thank you again for hosting us
in your Paris apt. last summer.
Ron and I often talk about our trip to Paris and how meaningful it was
to us. It was challenging, as it was the first time we'd ever traveled
with our 6 year old daughter, and we were completely on edge about my
health, but we're grateful we were able to make the trip and you
played a special role in that. I have been wanting to thank you
properly since.
I pray you and your family are well.

Staying in Paris at this rental apartment for the three us was literally "home away from home". The address is ideally located in a residential neighborhood: a 5-minute walk to the Trocadero and the Eiffel Tower, and two blocks from bus and metro stations. The clean and cheery ground-floor apartment comes fully equipped with everything one possibly needs, and the graceful and attentive owners and local manager are one phone call away. Shopping for food in the neighborhood is great fun and we ended having most of our meals at home. I am recommending this address to all my friends and family.
Comments from Miss Laurel. G (February, 2007)
Where do I begin to explain how much we enjoyed the apartment and its location? The amazing thing to me, is that what is posted on your web site does not do justice to the actual apartment. It was so great to be greeted and to be welcomed so warmly! We especially enjoyed the feel of homeyness in the apartment. And then, of course, there is the location. The proximity to the Metro and bus stops makes traveling around Paris so easy, even for those crazy Americans.
It was so easy to get to Versailles. And when you go out the door and see the Eiffel Tower and the Seine that is what vacations are all about.
Don't let me forget to mention the fine restaurants and shopping that is all just a short walk away. I so enjoyed the vacation that I am going to begin saving for my next visit to Rue Raynouard.
Comments from Ian and Adriana from Palo Alto, CA
We spent two very pleasant weeks in the Rue Raynouard apartment just before Christmas 2006. The apartment is very comfortable and well-equipped. It is located close to the Rue de Passy in the 16eme Arrondissement, which is one of the finest shopping streets in Paris, with an excellent open-air and covered market adjacent to it. The owners provided us in advance some very thorough and well-organized information packs on both the apartment and the area. Being in touch with home via the computer telephone link was very helpful, as was the broadband internet access. The latter makes the apartment very suitable for a business trip as well as a vacation.
Comments from Howard and Kathy from Oakland, currently in Brusells
"We stayed in your lovely apartment for a long weekend. It is beautifully decorated, comfortable and centrally located. We really appreciated that the apartment is located in a less touristy area of Paris, while still being very close to all the attractions. The neighborhood was really enjoyable with lots of local flavor. The shops and restaurants close by were wonderful and the staff were very friendly. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful apartment with us. Since we are living in Brussels for the next three years, we know we'll be back soon! Howard and Kathy"

Your hospitality, enthusiasm, warmth and kindness are greatly appreciated and will be remembered.
I wish we were in the same city so I could take you out for lunch.
My daughter and I will always remember our Paris adventure and your lovely flat right in the heart of things. One special activity was going each morning to the fresh markets and bakery- Paul's- which I thought was the best we experienced there.
Because of you, we have wonderful memories that will stay with us always.
Sending you warm thoughts and best wishes, Debra

We are just packing up to leave today. Our flight is at 4:40 and we
plan to call the taxi about 12:30. There is still so much to do in
Paris! I love the area of Le Passy. It is very fun with the shops and
restaurants. We had a wonderful time in your flat. It was very relaxing
to have a home away from home.
Thank you again, I will definitely recommend your place to friends and
colleagues.

What a wonderful place this is. It was all we expected and more. We felt at home in your charming apartment. This will be a place we will continue to stay when we come to Paris. We will also recommend this flat to all our friends and family. Thank you for all your help to make this stay a memorable experience.
Much love,

Comments from Cheryl, Hawaii. October 2006
Our time in Paris has been absolutely delightful. The weather has been much warmer than we expected and last night was the first rain that we have seen. We finally made it to the Louvre today so a rainy day was not a problem. It has been great for us to have this comfortable home to return to every evening. We are not really night life folks and the apartment has been perfect for rejuvenating and cooking a meal for ourselves while we listen to the radio and have the perfect wine.
... our plans have changed for the last few days in Paris and we will not be able to go on the Seine cruise that you have so kindly offered. A friend here in Paris has arranged for a tour of champagne wineries in Reims and they can only schedule it for Wednesday.
Aloha from the wonderful Passy neighborhood !

We are having a great time at your flat. Today we are off to the St. Ouen Antique Flea Market.
Everything went very well at the apartment. We loved it and will definitely return again.

Just a note to let you know everything is going fine here at your flat in Paris - I meant to send some pictures to you but am having trouble getting my new camera to talk to my computer - I can get the pix but cannot get them to reduce to proper size to e-mail, will keep working on it and send some as time goes by - hopefully, you will not have to wait til we get back home!
It is a rainy Monday morning in Paris, what I call a soft day - I like rainy days, they make one do things differently. We have been having a great time going to all sorts of places, have been to the new Musee du Quai Branley, fabulous, to the Louvre (of course, fabulous) to Musee Carnavalet also wonderful, we still have many on our list including the Trocadero's museum of Man. We have walked along many streets, crossed the Seine on many ponts, taken many bus rides just to see where it takes us, have been to several markets - my very favorite thing to do especially since we can bring things back here and have treats.
The apartment is perfect for us and we are enjoying our stay here, everything is so convenient to this area - just a short hop to the metro or bus - very nice.

We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday, and were very happy with the apartment
and its location. I will be recommending it to friends who plan to go to Paris

John K, Seattle
My comments are that the apartment is extremely well situated, close to the Metro and local shops and it is certainly easy to get from the apartment to any place in town you might want to go to. I like the area and would absolutely want to stay in the same area again in future visits. It was quite a good spot. Despite my misgivings about the noise levels of a first floor flat, it was very quiet and comfortable and I rather enjoyed being so near the front door!
Kim. R, San Francisco, CA
We enjoyed our stay at the flat and would highly recommend it to others traveling to Paris.
The apartment had all the comforts of a home and was a great location for us, near the Eiffel tower and a short walking distance to the Metro and restaurants.
Jesset P., Oakland, CA
The apartment in Paris was wonderful. It is exactly what you see on the website. It was spacious, clean and easily accessible from the airport and all Paris sites! We especially loved the neighborhood and the close proximity to restaurants, cafes, and shopping. When I come back to Paris, I will stay at your apartment again.
Thank you.

We had a wonderful time in Paris. Everyone was so friendly to us. The manager was really kind and greeted us with a smile even though we were late getting to the apartment. I appreciated the fan in the apartment and we were very comfortable in the evening despite the excessive heat during the day.
I could have spent a lot of our vacation time in the neighborhood of the apartment. The nearby markets, shops and restaurants were just fabulous. The apartment was beautifully decorated and very clean and the location was just about the best that I could imagine. Having internet in the apartment helped us stay in touch with our clients and family every day.
Vicky K.
If we were to move to Paris, this neighborhood would be at the top of our list. It's a great location. We loved how close it is to everything and enjoyed Cafe Passy (up at the corner) for dinner or a snack and the 2 or 3 patisseries within a short walk in the mornings.
The apartment is really perfect with every amenity at your fingertips. It is extremely comfortable and very pretty as well. We can't wait to go back---Oh! I left a brochure for Fat Tire Bicycle Tours, which leave from the Eiffel Tour. We took a nighttime tour and it was one of the highlights of our trip. Very easy--and a great way to see the city.
Thanks again, Essia. Hope I can contact you again about renting it!

Thank you very much for your hospitality. We had a wonderful time in Paris and are extremely sorry about the tablecloth and cereal. My daughter Hannah knocked over the glass of wine to celebrate our arrival and I was not able to get it off the tablecloth. At 15 mths I do not think she yet appreciates the value of a nice glass of wine!
Your Paris apartment was delightful and our of all the places we stayed on our trip, yours was certainly the most charming. Please let us know if you are ever travelling to Vancouver as we would be happy to recommend or help with your accomodations.

We spent 10 days in the apartment in June and enjoyed every minute of our stay. The location is incredible and beyond belief to truly experience Paris outside the tourist areas. The rue de Passy is a wonderful experience of taste and sensation. Walking threeminutes to the market is a treat not enjoyed anywhere else. Being a ten-minute walk to the Eiffel Tower is an experience we will long remember. The hospitality of the hosts was beyond our expectation. The tremendous access to the subway enhanced our stay in Paris. We look forward to returning and staying at your charming apartment again.
Ron Kelly, Virginia
The apartment is very nicely appointed and roomy for the needs of two people traveling to Paris. The kitchen area and the washer were great to have available but we did not use either during our stay. The decor and the amenities for use were quite accommodating so if someone did want to use the kitchen and eating area it would be just fine for them. We appreciated the personal touches by leaving a nice bottle of wine and the first morning breakfast for us, that was very generous of you. The manager was a very gracious hostess for us and showed us all we needed to know about the apartment and had the room clean and ready to go. She was very punctual and met us as planned upon arrival and was right on time for our departure.
Your process for reservations and how you accommodated us when we were unable to get our first choice in dates was wonderful. Keeping us informed, providing the restaurant list, having the instruction book in the apartment, access to 110v electricity, and the tourist booklets in the packet made it much easier even though we had done some prior research. The availability of free calling to the US with available dialing to French phone was quite helpful for us. as was the internet link. So for a person traveling to Paris and needing to stay in touch, you could not ask for anything more.
Location was quite nice especially access to Passy metro which was a very short walk away. We had easy access to an ATM just down the street plus the nearby boulangerie and the two cafe/restaurants around the corner made it easy to catch a quick bite to eat. we did not shop too much in the immediate area but did use the pharmacy once; even Trocadero and Eiffel Tower were easily accessible on foot or by metro.
Your hospitality and trusting nature with your clients was much appreciated. I felt you went out of your way to be very accommodating with everything. It was a fair price to pay for the location of the accommodations and extra space to move around in plus the kitchen and washing facilities. It would be especially good value for a family of four who might wish to see Paris. You did everything you could to make our stay enjoyable.
Thank you for your promptness with our security deposit and for the experience of living like a Parisian. We tried to return your kindness & professionalism by taking good care of your apartment while we rented. Best wishes to you and good luck with your future customers.

Gaylen and I stayed at your lovely apartment a few weeks ago and we had a marvelous, marvelous time. The apartment is perfect - location is excellent. We were very content and happy in this lovely little home. Thank you for your good service. Also, your wife's cousin (I'm sorry - I forgot her name) was very helpful and thorough. We had absolutely no problems.
I loved your decorating colors - the soft butter cream wall color with the rich red. I loved the butter cream (soft yellow?) color on your walls. Any tip on how I could get paint that color here in the US. (We usually buy paint at Kelly Moore - but I'd try another place if the color was a good match.) I would love to paint my dining room in that lovely warm color. Any suggestions would be most appreciated!
Anyway, I've referred my boss to your apartment. He travels to Europe quite a bit. He has put the info in his Palm Pilot. I will also refer my friends to your place whenever I can.
We hope to go back next February 2007 to celebrate my next birthday! It was a dream come true!

We had a fabulous time. The apartment was wonderful. I can't say enough about it. The location was perfect. It was nice walking in and having it set up for the next day. Your manager showed us everything and was very helpful.
Thank you so much. I will tell everyone about it. i won't stay anywhere else when I travel to Paris. Thank you so much for all of your help. I appreciate everything.

Chuck and I had a really nice time in Paris and we certainly enjoyed our stay in your apartment. The location of the apartment is extremely convenient to shopping, restaurants, the metro Passy and within walking distance of museums and tourist attractions, such as the Eiffel Tower. The Passy market is just a few blocks away and gives you the authentic Parisian experience of shopping for fresh food and flowers daily. The apartment is fully equipped with many comforts of home and has plenty of storage space for your belongings.
F. B., Walnut Creek, CA
We liked the apartment very much; the location was perfect for us. We were at a conference at the Hilton, so it was an easy walk to the sessions.
Janet and Jack, Harleysville, PA
My husband and I had a magnificent stay in Paris over Thanksgiving Weekend! It was the most beautiful place that either of us has ever been. Your apartment is in a great location to see everything in the city. We were on a morning walk after arriving and turned the corner and there was the beautiful Eiffel Tower. The shops and cafes in the Passy area are also very good and relaxing.
Your apartment was very cozy and comfortable with everything we needed. It was great to be able to call the states and wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving then go off to another site in Paris. Your hostess was very sweet and welcoming.
Thank you very much for all of your arrangements and the use of your home.
Joe, Las Vegas
The apartment is furnished and attired with a great taste, and having phone and Internet made living much easier. And about location: it can't be any better.
Khrista, Los Angeles
I have visited Paris several times, and my stay at Rue Raynouard was one of the most memorable and enjoyable experiences I have had. This is a far superior choice to a hotel or other vacation rentals that I have seen. The apartment is stunning and provides an authentic taste of Parisian life. It is beautifully and traditionally decorated, spacious, and comfortable.
The location of the apartment is also spectacular for those visiting Paris for the first time or for someone who has visited the city of lights on numerous occassions. Literally within 2 minutes of the apartment, there are numerous bakeries, cafes, restaurants, wonderfully fashionable stores (some of which, to my delight feautured favorite French designers I've discovered over the course of several visits to Paris), and two grocery stores. It is rare to find a location where one may enjoy the traditional, familiar pleasures of Paris and discover so many new ones all in one beautiful area! Located in the chic, tree-lined 16th arrondissment, it is close to the Eiffel Tower and landmark Trocadero. You will adore strolling down and shopping along nearby Rue Passy, seeing the Eiffel Tower as you begin your day, and being captivated by the spectacle of the Eiffel Tower alite when you return home.
The apartment also includes every convenience necessary to help make your visit abroad worry free - Internet access, free calls to the US, fax machine, cable TV and DVD player, and the metro are unique amenities that you will certainly appreciate once you are abroad.
The reservation and check-in process was efficient and welcoming. The owners included so many touches that show they care about their guests. I was always treated with courtesy, from my initial inquiry until my check-out. I would recommend staying here to anyone without any reservations, and I am looking forward to staying there again during my next trip to Paris.

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Paris for vacation apartment in Passy. We were able to reserve online, using PayPal, and the apartment was exactly as described. It was clean and well-equipped with all the bedding, towels, and cooking equipment our family of four needed, as well as being beautifully furnished and decorated. The location is superb, right in the heart of Passy, with great shops and restaurants around the block and the Eiffel Tower and batobus (transportation by boat) just a 5 minute walk away. It's a great spot from which to explore all of Paris. Thanks again for a great vacation!
